Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels, and SDKs. This Cookie Policy explains how CrownPlay uses them on https://crownplay.gg and should be read with our Privacy Policy.

• Strictly necessary — authentication/session, security (CSRF/rate-limit related), load balancing, and preference storage required to operate the Platform. These cannot be switched off in our systems without breaking core features.
• Functional — language selection, UI preferences, dismissed banners, and similar conveniences.
• Analytics / performance — aggregated usage metrics to understand feature adoption, errors, and performance (e.g. Google Analytics or similar, when configured).
• Marketing / attribution — campaign and affiliate attribution cookies where used, to measure referrals and promotions.

• Session / JWT-related storage to keep you logged in securely;
• Language and locale preferences;
• Affiliate / referral codes captured at landing;
• Anti-abuse and security telemetry;
• Optional analytics tags configured via environment (NEXT_PUBLIC_* tracking vars).

Strictly necessary cookies are used based on our legitimate interest / necessity to provide the service you request. Non-essential analytics and marketing cookies are used based on consent where required (e.g. GDPR/ePrivacy), or subject to opt-out models where that is the applicable standard (e.g. certain US state laws).

Some cookies are set by third parties (analytics, KYC iframes, game provider embeds, Discord widgets). Those parties may process data under their own policies. We encourage you to review their documentation. Embedded third-party game clients may set additional technical cookies required for gameplay.

• Session cookies expire when you close the browser or after inactivity.
• Persistent cookies remain until their set expiry or until you delete them (commonly from a few days up to 24 months for analytics, unless renewed).

• Use browser settings to block or delete cookies (note: blocking necessary cookies may break login/play);
• Use private/incognito mode for non-persistent browsing;
• Where a consent banner is shown, adjust categories there;
• Opt out of Google Analytics (if enabled) via Google’s browser add-on or equivalent tools;
